Although some research has been done on this subject, the meaning of these concepts has not been fully understood. The purpose of this study is to explain by addressing the concepts of spirit, soul and nefs. This study contains explanations on how these concepts are addressed to the Islam-Alevian faith and in the Kay-nakes. For this purpose, some of the Alevian classics have been studied. When considered in this direction, research is a study based on source scan. According to the information obtained from the study, soul and soul are complex concepts. People have very little information about this. Soul and spirit are often the concepts used to replace each other. Nefs is seen as a concept that expresses the emotions that drive a person to do bad things. Man can use his mind and will to prevent his self-wishes. In some ways, every man can train himself. The teaching is more important than the teaching of the discipline. The man who has faith in him is known as a man. The dead man never dies, the dead is his body. In this study, the Alevi classics are trying to bring a clarification to the concepts of life, spirit and nefs, while somehow a comparison with the Islamic Sunni disciples is made.

Bu konuda bazı araştırmalar yapılmış olmasına rağmen bu kavramların mahiyeti tam olarak anlaşılmamıştır. Bu çalışmanın amacı, ruh, can ve nefs kavramlarını ele alarak açıklamaktır. Bu araştırmada söz konusu kavramların İslam-Alevi inancına ve kay-naklarında nasıl ele alındığına ilişkin açıklamalara yer verilmiştir. Bu amaçla önce bazı Alevi klasikleri incelenmiştir. Bu yönüyle düşünüldüğünde, araştırma kaynak taramaya dayalı bir çalışmadır. Çalışmadan elde edilen bilgilere göre, ruh ve can karmaşık kavramlardır. Bu konuda insana çok az bilgi verilmiştir. Can ve ruh çoğu zaman birbirinin yerine kullanılan kavramlardır. Nefs, insanı kötü işler yapmaya sürükleyen duyguları ifade eden bir kavram olarak görülmektedir. İnsan, aklını ve iradesini kullanarak nefsin isteklerine engel olabilir. Yani bir bakıma her insan nefsini eğitebilir. Nefsin eğitimi ise daha çok tasavvufun konu alanına girmekte-dir. Alevi inancında nefsini eğiten insan, kâmil insan olarak bilinir. Kamil insanın hiçbir zaman canı ölmez, ölen onun bedenidir. Bu çalışmada, Alevi klasiklerinde can, ruh ve nefs kavramlarına bir açıklık getirilmeye çalışılırken bir bakıma İslam Sünni mezhepleriyle de bir karşılaştırılması yapılmıştır.
