Nowadays, many things are turning into consumption. The human body is influenced by this transformation, gaining a dimension that turns into a consumption tool. In particular, advertisements are used for the purpose of creating the "wanted" human body images. In fact, the element that forms the basic promise of fitness magazine ads is the need to get a desired, fit and healthy body. The main objective of the study is to show in the advertisements in the fitness magazines that are published in Turkey how the human body images occur. The main framework of the study is the research developed by Erving Goffman in his work "Gender Advertisements" (1976) and described gender roles in advertising. In literature, a new analysis table has been obtained by synthesizing the criteria used in other studies related to the presentation of the human body, and in this direction the content analysis has been carried out. Advertisements are determined by the "Scientific Research Method", which is a sub-stage of the general scan method within the scan models. The findings from the study show that, as in Lebre’s (2005) study, men are described muscularly and flexibly. In addition, similar findings have been found by the research that Bell and Milic (2002) concluded that Goffman's theory was valid. The findings also coincide with a study by Belknap and Leonard II (1991) in the six categories of Goffman’s gender roles. According to this, the findings related to the direction that women look at coincide with the findings of Bell and Milic, while Goffman's findings are not consistent.

A new analysis table was obtained by synthesizing the criteria used in other studies on the presentation of the human body in the literature. As a result, advertisements published by 8 healthy life and fitness magazines for 12 months were examined. As a result of the findings obtained from the study, it is seen that men are depicted as muscular and flexible, as in Lebre's (2005) study. Also, similar findings were also obtained in the study of Bell and Milic (2002) in which Goffman's theory was found to be valid.
