Abstract:

Rural tourism is both entagled with rural settlements and is based on natural resources. It has got a lot of positive effects. For this reason; its significance is much more appreciated as the alternative or completing factor of the existing tourism types in the courtries developed or developing in tourism. Rural tourism may also support Turkish tourism a great deal when its countless benefits are taken into consideration. Principally, it can affect to decrease the intensity of tourism in certain months within the year. It may also contribute to remove inequal distribution of tourism in the country-geography. Moreover, rural tourism can provide the expansion of tourism market by creating a demand for various and conscious tourist groups. Rural tourism’s ability of easy integration into the other tourism types may activate them dynamicly, too. Rural tourism is a kind of tourism in harmony with the sustainable one.
