Abstract:

The pentaglot dictionary which was completed in 1794 is one of the most important work in Turkic lexicography. There are more that 18000 vocabularies in this dictionary. The Uighur language, one of the five languages of this work, has a very important place in studying the sound and meaning features of Chagatai 200 years ago. In this study, the researches conducted in different languages in China and other countries on this dictionary will be collected in order of published time and also some important works will be commented. In this context, a comprehensive search was carried out on different databases to cover different languages. As a result of the related literature review, the findings were discussed.
