Abstract:

The nature of human death has been a controversial issue. Poverty, illness, accident, and war are reflected in people's lives negatively; It is known that health, peace and well-being reflect positively. The fact that man's life span is surrounded by biological, social and other laws and conditions within the scope of sunnah makes us think that he has a choice and effect on living until old age, and this reinforces the consciousness of protecting the life of himself and others by getting rid of the fatalistic understanding of the individual. This situation raises the ques-tions of whether the divine providence regarding death determines an unchanging period for every human being or a specific capacity to live and whether the latter means a change in religious science. The purpose of our article is to seek answers to these questions based on the texts. While doing this, the interpretations of good verses on the subject will be emphasized how the commentators interpret these verses will be examined, and Mu'tazilite and Sunni views will be consulted when necessary. Thus, it will be tried to determine which of the views of the immutability and variability of the time is in harmony with the scriptures, human freedom and responsibility, and the laws within the scope of sunnatullah that limit the time.
