The article discusses the history of the study of the syntactic structure of the Nogai language, one of the languages of the Turkic family. A systematic study of the syntactic structure of the Nogai language begins in the 60-70s of the XX century. In the syntactic system of any language, a special place is occupied by the structure of a simple sentence, because the general laws inherent in syntax mainly stem from the nature of a simple sentence. This vast branch of syntax was studied by the Nogai linguist S.A.-X. Kalmykova. Structural and semantic features of phrases were investigated by D.M. Shikhmurzaev. At the same time, many problems associated with the syntax of the Nogai language are still awaiting solution.
