Bu betimsel çalıGmada, Beden Eğitimi ve Spor Yüksekokulu Beden Eğitimi Öğretmenliği’ndeki öğrencilerin farklı değiGkenler açısından problem çözme becerilerinin araGtırılması amaçlanmıGtır. AraGtırma 2006-2007 öğretim yılının bahar yarıyılında KırGehir ilinde bulunan Ahi Evran Üniversitesinde yürütülmüGtür. AraGtırma Beden Eğitimi ve Spor Yüksekokulu’nda okuyan toplam 100 öğrenci üzerinde gerçekleGtirilmiGtir. AraGtırmada Heppner ve Peterson 1982 tarafından geliGtirilen, gahin, gahin ve Heppner 1993 tarafından Türkçe’ye uyarlanan “Problem Çözme Envanteri” ve araGtırmacı tarafından geliGtirilen “KiGisel Bilgiler Formu” veri toplama araçları olarak kullanılmıGtır. 2006-2007 öğretim yılında gerçekleGtirilen araGtırmanın genel amacı çerçevesinde; cevapları aranan alt problemlere yönelik toplanan verilerin gerekli istatistiksel çözümleri için, SPSS Statistical Packet for Social Sciences programından yararlanılmıGtır. AraGtırmada f frekans, % yüzde, X aritmetik ortalama, Tek Faktörlü Anova ve korelasyon analizlerinden yararlanılmıGtır. Sonuç olarak, Beden Eğitimi bölümündeki öğrencilerin problem çözme becerileri toplam puanları ile aylık gelir düzeyleri, sosyal çevreleri ve boG zamanlarında en çok uğraGtıkları faaliyetler gibi değiGkenler arasında anlamlı fark bulunmazken, cinsiyet ve sınıf düzeyleri arasında anlamlı bir fark bulunmuGtur.
This descriptive research aimed at comparing problem solving skills against some of the students studying in the School of Physical Education and Sports. The research was conducted in Ahi Evran University in the province of Kırşehir in spring semester of the 2006-2007 academic year. The research was carried out on 100 students in total studying in the School of Physical Education and Sport. In this study, “Problem Solving Inventory”, developed by Heppner ve Peterson 1982 and “Personal Information Form” developed by researcher were used as data collection tools. In the research, while analyzing the data, with frequency and descriptive tests, for the comprasion of groups One-Way ANOVA and correlation analyses were utilized. As a conclusion, the relation between total scores of Problem Solving Skills of the students studying in Physical Education Teaching and the variables such, monthly income, their home country and leisure time activities was not statistically found significant. On the other hand, the relationship between total scores of Problem Solving Skills of the students in relation to the variables such as gender, stages of education, was found statistically significant
