Türkiye’de muhasebe eğitimi lise, ön lisans, lisans, yüksek lisans ve doktora düzeyinde verilmektedir. Eğitimi veren gerek ortaöğretim gerekse yükseköğretim kurumlarında asıl amaçlanan nitelikli insan gücü yetiştirmek ve potansiyel meslek mensuplarının gerekli donanımlara sahip olmasını sağlamaktır. Bu bağlamda çalışmada, Osmaniye Korkut Ata Üniversitesi Düziçi Meslek Yüksekokulunda muhasebe dersi alan öğrencilerin muhasebe eğitimine karşı tutumlarının COVID-19 pandemi sürecinde tespit edilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Çalışmanın bir diğer amacı ise öğrencilerin COVID-19 pandemisi sürecinde muhasebe eğitimine karşı tutumlarının demografik faktörler açısından farklılık gösterip göstermediğini tespit etmektir. Yapılan analizler sonucunda öğrencilerin muhasebe derslerini eğlenceli ve motive edici buldukları, ileride sahip olmak istedikleri meslek için de önemli buldukları ancak muhasebe çalışırken kaygılı oldukları, rahat ve sakin olamadıkları sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Elde edilen diğer bir sonuç ise öğrencilerin muhasebe eğitimine karşı tutumlarının cinsiyet ve gelir durumları açısından farklılık gösterdiğidir. Çalışmanın ele alınan perspektiften daha önce incelenmemiş olması önemini ve değerini arttırmaktadır. Çalışma sonuçlarının literatüre ışık tutması beklenmektedir.
Accounting education in Turkey is given at an associate, undergraduate, graduate and doctorate levels. The main objective in both secondary and higher education institutions that provide education is to train manpower and to ensure that potential professionals have the necessary equipment. In this context, in this study, it was aimed to determine the attitudes of the students taking accounting course in Osmaniye Korkut Ata University Düziçi Vocational School towards accounting educatio during the COVID-19 pandemic process. Another aim of the study is to measure the relationship of student’s attitudes towards accounting education with demographic characteristics. As a result of the analysis, it was concluded that students find accounting courses fun and motivating and important for the profession they want to have in the future, but they are anxious and not comfortable and relaxed while working in accounting. Another result obtained is that student’s attitudes towards accounting education differ in terms of gender and income levels. The fact that the study has not been examined from the perspective at hand increases its importance and value. The results of the study are expected to shed light on the literature.
