Abstract:

As the Qur'an and the Sunnah are the main sources of Islamic law, the words in the Qur'an and the Sunnah are also the primary sources in terms of the meaning they express. In order to understand the intention of Shari'ah, Islamic law practitioners focused on the connection, interest and relationship between the word and meaning, and systematized it by developing a methodology to establish a connection between the word and meaning. The words used in a language are meant to express the purpose and goal. The words used to express the purpose are the means that express the main meaning. It is necessary to look for the connection of the words used in a language with the meaning within the rules of that language. It is an effort to determine a basic criterion by providing objectivity while evaluating the verses. This study aims to explain the effect of the difference of interpretation in the understanding of qiyas (analogical deduction), which is one of the factors of the difference in rulings between the Islamic law schools, on the rulings with examples. The method of the present research is to determine, in comparison with examples, how Hanafi and Shafii (theologian) scholars interpreted the dalalah of nass and qiyas, which are the main subjects of al-usul al-fiqh based on their basic sources.
