Osmanlı Seyahatname geleneği içerisinde ilk akla gelen isimlerinden biri olan Evliya Çelebi, yaklaşık yarım asırlık bir tecrübenin sonucu olarak kaleme aldığı ve meraklısına pek çok konuda malumat sunduğu zengin eserinde, gezip gördüğü yerlerdeki pek çok sıra dışı olayı ve durumu okuyucuya aktarmaktadır. Onun eserinde işlemiş olduğu konulardan biri de, 1637 yılında Don Kazakları tarafından ele geçirilen Azak kalesinin, içerisinde kendisinin de bulunduğu Osmanlı-Kırım müttefik ordusu tarafından sükûtundan (ele geçirilme) yaklaşık dört yıl sonra geri alınma girişimi ve akabinde yaşananlar olmuştur. Bu çalışmada Evliya Çelebi’nin mezkûr (bahsedilen) seferde gördüğü olay ve durumları, onları ele alış tarzını irdelemek amaçlanmaktadır. Hiç şüphesiz seferde muvazzaf bir asker olan Evliya Çelebi’nin Seyahatname adlı eseri, Osmanlı ve Kırım Hanlığı siyasi tarihi içinde neden ve sonuçları ile oldukça önemli olan 1641-1642 Azak Seferi hakkında oldukça önemli bilgiler vermektedir. Kronik tarih kaynaklarının aktardıklarının yanı sıra olayın bizzat içinde olan Evliya Çelebi’nin şahit olduğu atmosferi, tarafların askerlerinin fiziki ve psikolojik durumunu, bir nevi röportaj mahiyetinde olan çevresindeki kişilerin sözlerini eserinde aktarması gibi sadece kendisinde bulabileceğimiz nadir nitelikte olan hususlar; konusu hakkında birinci el kaynak olan kendisinin aktardığı bilgiler üzerine olan dikkati yoğunlaştırmaktadır.
Evliya Çelebi, one of the first names that come to mind in the Ottoman Travel Tradition, in his rich work, which he received the pen as a result of a half-century experience and offered his curiosity information on many topics, travels and visits many unusual events and situations to the reader. One of the topics he worked in his work was the attempt to recover the Azak Castle, which was captured by the Don Kazakhs in 1637, and the Ottoman-Crimean Allied Army, which included him, about four years later, and what happened after it. In this study, the Evliya Çelebi's events and circumstances in the mosquito (disclosed) are intended to treat the way they deal with. Without a doubt, Evliya Çelebi's Journey, a famous soldier, provides very important information about the 1641-1642 Azak Seferi, which is very important in the political history of the Ottoman and Crimean Hunt. In addition to the transmission of chronic historical sources, the atmosphere in which Evliya Çelebi, who is the person of the incident, witnesses, the physical and psychological state of the soldiers of the parties, the words of the people around them that are in the nature of a nevi interview, the rare facts that we can find only in him; the attention is focused on the information that he, the first-hand source of the subject, transmits.
Evliya Çelebi, one of the first names that come to mind Ottoman travelling tradition, conveys to the reader many extraordinary events and situations in the places he travelled and saw in his rich work, which he wrote as a result of nearly half a century of experience and presented information to her enthusiast on many subject. One of the issues he dealt with in his work was the attempt to take back the Azov Fortress, which was captured by the Don Cossacks in 1637, by the Ottoman-Crimean allied army, including him, about for years after the capture and the events that followed. İn this study, it is aimed to examine the events and situation that Evliya Çelebi saw in the mentioned campaign and the manner of handling them. Undoubtedly, Evliya Çelebi’s book; Seyahatname, in which who was an on duty soldier on the campaign, provides very mportant information about the 1641-1642 Azov Campaign, which was very important with its causes and consequences in the political history of the Ottoman Empire and Crimean Khanate. İn addition to the chronic historical sources, Evliya Çelebi who was in the events himself, witnessed the atmospher, the physical and psychological condition of the soldiers of the both group, and the words of the people around him who were interviewed, such as the rare point that we can only find in himself; he focuses his attention on the information he conveyed, which is a primary sources on his subject.
