20. yüzyıl’ın en büyük bestecilerinden biri olan Sergey Prokofyev’in solo keman için bestelemiş olduğu sonat, müzikal zenginliği ve teknik yapısı ile solo sonat janrının özel örnekleri arasındadır. Bu çalışma, özellikle üzerinde az çalışma yapılmış ve görece nadiren seslendirilen Solo Keman Sonatı Re Majör op.115’in bilinçli şekilde yorumlanabilmesi için bir kılavuz niteliğindedir. Çalışmada sonatın yorumsal özellikleri ve form analizi haricinde bestecinin keman stilini tanımak adına bestecinin sanatsal yaklaşımı ve karakteristik özellikleri keman için yazmış olduğu eserler üzerinde örnekler ile anlatılmaktadır. Eserin öğrenimi ve yorumlanmasında karşılaşılabilecek problemlerin çözümüne katkıda bulunmak adına çalışmada birçok teknik detaya yer verilmiştir. Çalışma, yorumcular tarafından kullanımı ve eğitim müfredatında kullanımı açısından öneme sahiptir.

The sonata for solo violin, composed by Sergei Prokofiev -one of the greatest composers of the 20th century, is among the exclusive examples of solo sonata genre with its musical richness and technical structure. This work, is a guide for a conscious interpretation of the solo sonata for violin D Major op.115, which especially has little work has been done and relatively rarely performed. In the study, apart from the interpretive features of the sonata and formal analysis, in order to recognize the violin style of the composer, the artistic approach and the reflection of characteristics of the composer on works for violin are presented with examples. In order to contribute to the solution of the problems that may be encountered in learning and interpreting of the work, many technical details are included in the study. The study has importantance in terms of its use by interpreters and its use in the education curriculum.
