Introduction: A physical fitness for the health of schoolchildren is extremely important in the prevention of future chronic diseases. Objective: evaluate a physical fitness for the health of middle school students in private schools. Materials and Methods: 69 children from 11 to 13 years of age, of both genders, enrolled at sixth, seventh and eighth grade of middle school participated in this study. The physical fitness related to health to evaluate them: body mass index (BMI), sit-and-go (SG), abdominal muscle resistance (AMR) and 6-minute run/walk (6MRW). Results: in the BMI assessment most students of all grades were within the health risk zone (HRZ). Without TSA, all products in the healthy zone (HZ). No AMR has been showing that all boys in grades 6 and 7 are in the HRZ. In 6MRW, all boys and girls in 6th grade, all boys in 7th grade and all girls in 8th graders in ZRS. Conclusion: schoolchildren in their greater presence in an area of ​​health risk, which may lead to health problems in the future.
