İkinci Dünya Savaşı süresince maddi ve nesnel olarak büyük kayıplar ve yıkımlar gerçekleşmiştir. Edebiyat alanında da bu savaşın, insan dünyası üzerinde yıkıcı etkisi konu edilmiştir. Makalenin amacı, dönemin etkilerinin Türk ve Alman edebiyatçıları tarafından benzer imgeler üzerinden nasıl yorumlandığını karşılaştırmalı edebiyat bilimi düzleminde incelemektir. Bu bağlamda Wolfgang Borchert, Attila İlhan ve Nazım Hikmet’in metinlerinde “duvar” imgesinin kullanımları üzerinden savaşın ve dönemin etkileri konusundaki yaklaşımları incelenmiştir. Wolfgang Borchert’in öyküsünde ve Attila İlhan’ın şiirinde “duvar”ın, “toplumsal vicdan”ı temsil eden bir imge olarak kullanıldığı ve kişileştirme yoluyla karakter olarak işlendiği sonucuna varılmıştır. Nazım Hikmet’in şiirinde ise; “ideolojik” bir temsil üstlendiği görülmüştür.
During the Second World War there were massive material and objective losses and destruction. In literature, this war has a devastating impact on the human world. The purpose of the article is to study the comparative literary level of how the influences of the period were interpreted by Turkish and German literaries through similar images. In this context, in the texts of Wolfgang Borchert, Attila Ilhan and Nazım Hikmet, the use of the "wall" image examined the approaches to the impact of the war and the period. In the story of Wolfgang Borchert and in the poem of Attila Ilhan, it is concluded that the "wall" was used as an image representing the "social conscience" and processed as a character through personification. In the poetry of Nazim Hikmet, it is seen as a “ideological” representation.
During World War II great loss and destruction were experienced both materially and spiritually. The destructiveness of this war on mankind and their world has been subject matter in the literary field. The object of this article is to study how the impact of the period is apprehended by Turkish and German through similar images within the scope of comparative literature tenets. In this context, by examination of the employment of wall image in Wolfgang Borchert, Attila İlhan and Nazım Hikmet’s texts, it has been targeted to reveal their feelings and views on the war and its impact. This examination has revealed that the wall in Wolfgang Borchert’s story and Attila İlhan’s poem has fundamentally been used as an image of “Social Conscience”, by way of personification which has been elaborated as a character. However, in Nazım Hikmet’s poem, it has been viewed that it assumes an “ideological” representation.
