Abstract:

Marx’s work is the most well-articulated, compelling and sharpest criticism with which social movements and leftist intellectuals have countered the ideological forms that intend to mask the economic conditions of production of bourgeois society. Marxist legal criticism incorporates the horizon, methodology and argumentation of the critique of political economy as a starting point, thus locating itself in the wider frame of the communist critique of capitalist modernity. In the midst of multiple theoretical discussions and practical contradictions, Oscar Correa’s work and the archive of the journal Crítica Jurídica account for the challenges of this endeavor and confirm the validity of Marx’s thought for the critique of bourgeois law.
