Abstract:

Amaç: Enfeksiyöz gastroenteritler, özellikle çocuklarda morbidite ve mortalitenin en önemli nedenlerinden biridir. Rotavirüs ve enterik adenovirüsler, enfeksiyöz gastroenteritlerin önemli viral etkenlerindendir. Çalışmamızda, akut gastroenterit ön tanısı ile laboratuvara gönderilen gaita örneklerinde rotavirüs ve adenovirüs pozitifliği ile etkenlerin cinsiyet, yaş ve mevsimsel dağılımının belirlenmesini amaçladık.

Abstract:

Objective: Infectious gastroenteritis is one of the most important causes of morbidity and mortality, especially in children. Rotavirus and enteric adenoviruses are important viral agents of infectious gastroenteritis. In our study, we aimed to determine the positivity of rotavirus and adenovirus and the gender, age and seasonal distribution of the causative agents in stool samples sent to the laboratory with a preliminary diagnosis of acute gastroenteritis.
