Abstract:

Summary: Prayer transmitted from generation to generation (~alkış (alk- "fighting, metheting") and bedduas (~kargış (karga- "bedduating") consists of substantial words, patterns and expressions that contain the material and spiritual values of Turkish cultural life. By time and place, their uses have taken different forms, and even if they have been dressed in new styles, prayer to God (cc.) It is an important kind of oral narrative used in the mouths of Antalya, and in the prayer and beddues it also carries common characteristics with those in the Turkish language, while it carries some original characteristics specific to the area where it is spoken in terms of structure and meaning. In this context, many ancient (~archaic) words that will contribute to the Turkish mouth in the text and word collections made by us on the subject of prayer and beddua have also been identified. In this study, prayer and beddues were first classified in terms of meaning, then studied in terms of structure and in light of numerical data a general assessment of the use of prayer and beddues in the mouths of Antalya was made.
