Various measures have been developed against sources of air, water and soil pollution and have proven effective to a certain degree, however ,there are still some unsolved problems with regard to those pollutions and yet other new problem such as hazardous chemical substances have arisen. So, it is necessary to develop technology to directly clean polluted environment. Research has shown that nanoparticles represent a new generation of environmental remediation technologies that could provide cost-effective solutions to some of the most challenging environmental cleanup problems: pollution monitoring, groundwater, and soil remediation. Shortage of fresh water in the developing countries makes the development of nanotechnology of a crucial priority. New technologies, specifically the nanotechnology, can use different methods to recycle clean water from contaminate sewage for agricultural, industrial and even household consumptions. The usage of nanotechnology as a management solution is effective in reducing the environmental impacts of sewage. Different aspects of water resource management including water quality, water recycling, disinfection of water, water resources protection and eliminating heavy metals will be discussed in this paper with an emphasis of the use of nanotechnologies. In this paper the application of different nano-technologies in cleaner production is demonstrated. Also, the overall effects of these matters in improving health indices will be further discussed.
