Abstract:

Changes in land cover / land use can be sustainable and if not planned, they can cause significant damage to the ecology. The objective of the study is to determine the land use and land coverage of the Wednesday Delta Valley, which is located in the east of the Samsun province and constitutes one of the most important ovals of the Black Sea Region, by using the remote detection technique of the time change in the approximately thirty-year process. The study used Landsat satellite images for the years 1994, 2000, 2011, 2020. The ENVI 5 can be classified for the process. Through the 3v program, a controlled classification was created, six main land cover and land use classes were created, a land study was carried out for the purpose of controlling and detection of the classes created, and a controlled classification resulted in the six classes defined as agriculture, land, forest, nuts, artificial surfaces and water areas. Analog data is digitalized and transferred to the CBS database to determine the land use effectiveness. The wider area on Ova belongs to agricultural areas while it is followed by nuts and artificial areas. Especially in the past decade, the increase in the artificial fields and nuts land has attributed importance to the size of the areas showing reduction-oriented changes in the nuts. Furthermore, this study has shown that broad spaces have an important role in determining and monitoring the use trends of land use and land coverage changes, and that remote detection and geographical information sites have an important role in producing accurate and fast data.
