Abstract:

During the foreign language learning process, students learn a lot of different kinds of words, but there are some subjects that are superficially focused on them. Russian as a foreign language is a kind of word that is not focused in much detail on the subject of coverage. Coverages are the most important language elements that create a meaningful wealth in a language. So far, the fact that there has not been a study on the cover directly in Russia and that the language knowledge books are very little and limited, clearly shows that these structures are ignored in foreign language education. For students, having limited resources related to these kinds of words causes their use, function and structural characteristics to be incomprehensible. Another problem is that the functional characteristics that they may have in the language due to their structural proximity with other word types are not fully understood. In the Russian grammar tradition, it also shows that the definition, structure, meaning and functional characteristics of the cover are different approaches in the essence of this grammar class, which is not much focused on, should be studied more in depth. In this study, coverings in Russian are studied in three frameworks based on their structural, meaningful and functional characteristics. The difficulties in the absorption and distinction of these structures are also detailed. The goal here is to help Turkish native speakers better understand the cover structures they learn in Russian as a foreign language by systematically presenting the characteristics of the cover in Russian from a broad perspective. However, another purpose of the study is to introduce the approaches that are not addressed on the Russian cover structures in Turkey to the broad public.
