Abstract:

Nilüfer (Bayar) Gürsoy, the daughter of the third President Celal Bayar, was born during the National Struggle. Having witnessed important periods in the history of the Republic such as the Atatürk Era, İsmet İnönü Era, the Democrat Party Era and the coups of May 27 1960 and September 12 1980 Gürsoy entered active politics as a result of the political and social conditions created by the May 27 1960 coup. Gürsoy, who served as a deputy in the Justice Party and the Democratic Party, during his political life between 1965-1980; XIII. Term Justice Party Bursa Deputy, XV. Term Democratic Party Istanbul Deputy and XVI. He served in the Turkish Grand National Assembly as the Istanbul Deputy of the Term Justice Party. The study, which aims to contribute to the understanding of Turkish political life by presenting the activities of Nilüfer (Bayar) Gürsoy in the parliament in a clear and objective situation, by making a literature review, is the XIII, XV and XVI. The bills and proposals he presented to the parliament during the periods were limited to his speeches. In the study; The minutes of the TBMM and the TBMM Archive were used, and the newspapers of the period made a significant contribution to the study.
