Abstract:

The purpose of this research is to compare the competence perceptions of teachers candidates studying in the Turkish, Turkish Language and Literature and Contemporary Turkish Linguistics departments regarding the skills of the 21st century. The research has used a screening model. The research work group 2018-2019 Spring Period Fırat University Education Faculty forms 567 teachers candidates who are registered in the course of Turkish Language and Literature with the Turkish Teaching and Pedagogical Training and the 3rd and 4th classes of the Contemporary Turkish Lectures departments. Since it was possible to reach all the teachers candidates, there was also no sample selection, the entire work group was taken as sample. 21 of the Teacher Candidates developed by Anagün, Atalay, Sword and Living (2016) as a data collection tool in the research. The scale of skills of the century has been used. The scale consists of three subdimensions: learning and renewal skills, life and career skills, and knowledge, media and technology skills. This is the 21st edition of the teachers’ nomination. The perceptions of competence regarding their skills are compared in terms of gender, class level and the variables of the part of learning. Data analysis used arithmetic average, standard deviation, independent groups t test and variance analysis. The research results in the 21st century of teachers candidates in the Turkish, Turkish Language and Literature, Contemporary Turkish Linguistics departments. The skills have been found that the levels of competence perception are not statistically significantly differentiated in terms of gender, class level and division variables.
