The article indentifies the elements of magic realism in the classic Azerbaijani literature based on the comparative and historical analysis of the literary pieces. In it, the characteristics of magic realism is being is traced in the European and Latin American Literature as well as in the modern Azerbaijani literature starting in sixties of 20th century in the novels such as "Execution Day" by Y.Samadoglu, "The Ram," "The Bug of Nuts" and "Voice" by M.Suleymanli, in the various works by Anar ("The sixth floor of a five-story house," "White Ram, Black Ram," "Contact," "Horror," "The hotel room," "The red limo," "Transforma-tion"). The article describes the searches and discoveries, which concern magic realism, of these above mentioned writers in their creative works.
