Abstract:

Purpose: We aimed at presenting the clinical results and the problems we encounter in the treatment of the 3 year tracking of patients who are administered with a mid-pressure ventriculoperitoneal (VP) and lumboperitoneal (LP) chant with the diagnosis of idyopathic normal-pressure hydrosphaly (iNPH). Tools and Methods: Patients who apply to the Neurology and Neurosurgery Anabilities departments between 2013 and 2017 for the study, clinically and radiologically evaluated as iNPH, were scaned retrospective.VP and LP chant applicable patients were recorded success rates and complications. Results: 19 of the 26 patients evaluated (73.1%) were subjected to VP shant, 7 (26.9%) were subjected to LP shant. 6 patients (23%) were subjected to Western revision, 2 patients (7.7%) were subjected to chronic revision. 6 patients (23%) were subjected to Western revision, 2 patients (7.7%) were subjected to chronic revision. After surgery, 1 patient (3%) developed subdural hematoma. In 3 patients (11%) the valve was not observed. 6 patients (23%) developed chant oculusion. 3 (11%) patients developed headaches reacting to analgesic treatment, repairing within days. No major complications have been observed in any patient, such as chant infection, chant erection, hearing loss, vision loss or systemic infection. The result: in iNBH, the risk of rapid BOS discharge to cause bleeding should be taken into account because the average age of patients can be accompanied by atrophyside in the brain. Due to the lower complication rate and the rapid impact of the adjustable chant by magnetic environments, the first medium-pressure VP chant and then the LP chant can be considered.
