Abstract:

The objectives of the Turkish Lesson Curriculum under the heading of special objectives include an integrity that includes knowledge, skills and values in a way that enables students to acquire language and mental skills, to develop themselves individually and socially by using these skills, to establish effective communication, to acquire the habit of reading and writing with love of Turkish structured inside. From these expressions given under the title of special purpose specific to the field, students are expected to have skills to acquire some of the higher level skills. In other words, the individual should have critical thinking, creative thinking, reflective thinking, analytical thinking, metacognitive thinking, and lateral thinking skills. In this study, which was carried out according to the qualitative research method in the general survey model, the data were collected by document analysis method. The universe of the study consists of all the outcomes in the the Republic of Turkey Ministry of National Education 2018 Turkish Language Curriculum (1-8); and the sample consists of the 5th grade outcomes selected by purposeful sampling. The higher-order thinking skills and the data obtained in these outcomes were grouped and analyzed using descriptive analysis method. In addition, the findings determined by using the categorical analysis technique were presented in tables and evaluated. As a result of the research, it was stated within the framework of which high-level thinking skills the outcome of thinking skills mentioned in the outcome expressed in skill areas at the 5th grade in the Turkish Lesson Curriculum can be evaluated.
