So many results that aren't mine?

Abstract:

The model of this research, which aims to determine the relationship between teachers' decision-making and organizational commitment, is the relational screening model, one of the quantitative research management. The population of the research consists of 8,047 teachers working in official secondary schools in İzmir province. The sample of the study consists of 713 teachers. In the study, the "Decision Agreement Scale" developed by Yavuz (2001) and the "Organizational Commitment Scale" adapted to Turkish by Boylu, Pelit and Güçer (2007) were used. According to the results of the research, it was seen that teachers generally participated in the decisions taken at school at a moderate level, among these decisions, they mostly participated in the selection of the head of the school and the least in the decisions about the selection of the school administrative staff. Teachers with less seniority agreed more on teaching-related issues than those with more seniority. In addition, teachers with less school service time agree more with the decisions about teaching, teacher and student than those with long school service time. Teachers' organizational commitment and emotional, attendance and normative commitment are moderate. It has been observed that the differences in the seniority of teachers and their duration of school service significantly affect their organizational commitment, and the difference in their seniority and school service time significantly affects their attendance commitment towards their schools. It has been found that as the duration of school service and seniority increases among teachers, their attendance commitment to their schools increases and there is a positive low level significant relationship between organizational commitment and decision participation.
