Abstract:

In order not to interrupt education all over the world and in our country due to Covid-19, a rapid transition has been made to distance education in all education levels, including primary, secondary and higher education. With this sudden transition, many teachers faced some difficulties and this situation determined their attitudes towards distance education. In this study, it was aimed to determine the attitudes of primary school teachers towards distance education during the pandemic process. In the study, the survey model was used because the differentiation of primary school teachers' attitudes towards distance education during the pandemic process in terms of variables such as gender, institution, years of seniority, education level, grade level taught, whether or not they are sufficient in distance education. The data of the research carried out with 457 primary school teachers working in Turkey were collected through the scale. Factor analysis was used in the analysis of the data of the research. As a result of the research, it was seen that the attitudes of primary school teachers towards distance education were average. The majority of the primary teachers participating in the research consider themselves sufficient in distance education. When the attitudes of primary school teachers towards distance education during the pandemic process were examined according to the variable of seniority, it was determined that there was a significant difference.
