Abstract:

Dictionary studies take an important place in language research because the dictionary is a collection of words used in a language. As time progresses, there are also changes in words. While new words are produced or adopted from other languages, previously used words may not be used as widely as before. Due to political reasons, different regions of residence, religious beliefs, social and cultural influences, different words may be used for similar things in the language used by people belonging to the same nation, tribe, or society. Apart from these, previously used words can change due to reasons such as alphabet change and spelling rules. Today, with the development of language research, especially in computer-assisted artificial intelligence studies, words are more effective than ever before. The Uyghurs are among the early urbanizing nations in the world and have made significant contributions to the history of humanity. Among these contributions, language and literature come to the fore, apart from areas such as handicrafts, painting, miniatures, and music. The reasons of this situation are that the Uyghurs have used many alphabets until today, they have created countless literary works and they have created dictionaries of Uyghur. In this article, dictionaries written about Uyghur until today have been researched and a bibliography of the dictionaries has been created.
