Abstract:

Fagot is a tree-flamming instrument that entered our country for the first time in the Tanzimat Period, from that period to today is among the indispensables of orchestras and is also taught in the vocational music education institutions with the size of play training. At the initial level in play training, each play trainer aims to acquire the student of skills within certain techniques and methods. While acquiring these skills, each playing trainer uses its own methods and techniques. In this study, in accordance with the opinions of a very few fagot educators in our country, the aim is to bring a common approach to the techniques and methods applied in the initial level of fagot education and to contribute to the field writing in this sense. Research is a Qualitative Research based on the Imaginary Model. A semi-configured conversation form has been used as a data collection tool. The work group consists of 12 fagot educators from the Armed Forces Bando Schools Command Preparation School, Hacettepe University State Conservatory, Bilkent University Music and Scene Arts Faculty, Trakya University State Conservatory, Eskişehir Anadolu University State Conservatory, Architect Sinan Beautiful Arts University State Conservatory, Istanbul University State Conservatory and 9 September University State Conservatory Music departments. According to the data obtained from fagot educators in the study, the common techniques and methods applied in the initial level of fagot education and their order were determined, the target behaviors to be given to the student were identified and the methods and recommendations of the course processing of fagot educators were presented.
