Abstract:

It can be thought that things will go well in organizations as long as mutual expectations and obligations are fulfilled. However, the complex structure of today's working life and the constant change in employee expectations can cause undesirable situations between employee-employer/manager. This study was conducted to investigate the effect of psychological contract violation perception on teachers' turnover intention and organizational cynicism. In this context, data were obtained from 400 teachers working in public schools in Onikisubat and Dulkadiroğlu districts, which are the central districts of Kahramanmaraş, on a voluntary basis, by online survey method. Within the scope of the study, the effect of psychological contract violation on organizational cynicism and turnover intention was examined by performing regression analysis. According to the findings obtained as a result of the research, it was concluded that the perception of psychological contract violation in teachers had a significant and positive effect on the intention to leave and organizational cynicism.
