Abstract:

Nuşirevân, the Sassanid ruler who ruled with his justice, is one of the rare historical figures who brought his fame from this justice to the forefront with works that blend wisdom and aphorisms. Numerous works have been written on this subject in which moral virtues make his justice explicit. Today, these are coming to light, transferring the qualities brought from the literary aspect of Persian poetry to classical Turkish poetry and paving the way for its enrichment. The work we deal with in this study is a prose work that enriches this field with wisdom and aphorisms and is clearly translated from Persian. The work, which was copied in 1274 and which contains many features of Old Anatolian Turkish, was written in an extremely simple language despite the density of Persian and Arabic words. It is an advice containing wise and moral words that Nuşirevân requested through question and answer from the scholars and virtuous people in his assembly. The work, which includes 60 questions and 60 answers, was introduced to the scientific world for the first time with this article. This work is important in that it deals with the concept of justice with important moral values that appeal to all segments of society. The work, with its qualities that will be a guide for future generations, is a set of religious-moral-universal values. With this work unearthed, the wise superiority of a universal moral understanding will be revealed to the pendnâme culture.
