Abstract:

Bu araştırmada, ABD’de birinci feminist dalganın oluşmasını sağlayan Oy Hakkı Hareketi’nin (1848-1920) halkla ilişkiler faaliyetleri incelenmektedir. Feminist hareketin kullandığı halkla ilişkiler faaliyetleri, “mor halkla ilişkiler” olarak kavramsallaştırılıp eleştirel halkla ilişkiler geleneğindeki kültürel-ekonomik modelin kuramsal çerçevesine yerleştirilerek aktivist halkla ilişkiler ve feminist literatüre yeni bir kavram kazandırılmaya çalışılmaktadır. Kültürel-ekonomik halkla ilişkiler modelinde, toplumsal değişimin daha adil bir biçimde sağlanabilmesi için toplumsal yaşamda adaletsizlik üreten egemen anlatıların yıkılması ve yerine, halkla ilişkiler aracılığıyla yeni anlam setlerinin inşa edilmesinin gerekliliği vurgulanmaktadır. Bu perspektiften, Oy Hakkı Hareketi’nin yeni anlam inşası oluşturmak için halkla ilişkiler faaliyeti olarak kullandığı güzel sanat dalları ve üretilen sanatsal ürünlerdeki feminist anlam inşaları, nitel araştırma yöntemi ve metin analizi tekniği kullanılarak yorumlanmıştır. Oy Hakkı Hareketi’nin ürettiği sanatsal ürünlerin, feminist mücadelenin argümanlarıyla kodlanarak feminist bir kimliğin, feminist kolektif kimliğin, uzun erimli mücadele yürüten feminist toplumsal bir hareketin oluşmasında ve Ağustos 1920’de kazanılan oy hakkı mücadelesinde derin etkileri bulunmaktadır. The 'Mor a Public Relations' as an example of the U.S. Context Voting Right Movement

Abstract:

This study examines the public relations activities of the Voting Rights Movement (1848-1920) which made the first feminist wave formed in the United States. The public relations activities used by the feminist movement are conceptualized as "mor public relations" and placed in the theoretical framework of the cultural-economic model in the tradition of critical public relations, activist public relations and feminist literature are trying to bring a new concept. The cultural-economic public relations model emphasizes the need for the destruction of the dominant narratives that produce injustice in social life in order to ensure a more fair way of social change, and instead, the need for the construction of new set of meaning through public relations. From this perspective, the Voting Right Movement has been interpreted using the beautiful branches of art that the Public Relations use as a activity to create a new meaning and the feminist meaning buildings in produced art products, the quality research method and the text analysis technique. The art products produced by the Right to Vote Movement have profound effects on the formation of a feminist identity, a feminist collective identity, a long-term feminist social movement and the voting right struggle won in August 1920, coded by the arguments of feminist struggle.
