Bu çalışmanın konusu Doğu’nun Batı’nın hâkimiyetinden kurtulma çabası çerçevesinde son yıllarda ortaya çıkan “Bilimin ya da bilginin İslamileştirilmesi çabalarıdır”. Söylem itibariyle, yeni gibi gözükse de içerik itibariyle ne yeni, ne devrimci ne de önceki girişimlerden farklı bir yere oturmaktadır. Ancak Avrupa-merkezci, aydınlanmacı paradigmaya getirdiği eleştiri ve alternatif bir paradigma arayışı sebebiyle önemsenebilir. Buna rağmen varmak istediği nokta ve kullandığı vasıtalar ciddi sorunlar içermektedir. Bu kapsamda Doğu’nun kendisini Batı karşısında konumlandırma çabalarının tarihsel gelişimine göz atılacak ardından meselenin ortaya çıkış sebepleri, dile getirdiği eleştiriler, temalar, alternatif model ele alınacak ve garbiyatçı bakış eleştirel biçimde ortaya konulmaya çalışılacaktır.
The subject of this study is the Islamization of science or knowledge that emerged in recent years within the framework of the East's attempt to escape from the domination of the West. Although it seems to be new; neither it is new, nor revolutionary, not far from previous initiatives. But it can be taken into consideration because of its criticism of the Euro-centrist, enlightened paradigm of science and offering an alternative paradigm. However, the point that wanted to be reached and the means include serious problems. In this context, the historical development of the East will be taken into consideration in comparison to the West, and then the reasons for the emergence of this issue, its criticisms, themes, and alternative models will be discussed in the context of Occidentalism.
