Okul Psikolojik Danışman Adaylarının Beş Faktör Kişilik Özelliklerinin Psikolojik Danışmanlık Öz Yeterlikleri Üzerindeki Etkisi

Bu çalışmanın amacı, okul psikolojik danışmanı adaylarının beş faktör kişilik özelliklerinin (dışadönüklük, duygusal dengesizlik, uyumluluk, sorumluluk ve deneyime açıklık), psikolojik danışma öz yeterlikleri (oturumu yönetme, yardım etme, danışmadaki zorluklarla başa çıkma) üzerindeki etkilerinin incelenmesidir. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu 2018-2019 öğretim yılında Giresun Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi Rehberlik ve Psikolojik Danışmanlık Anabilim Dalı 4. sınıf öğrencileri oluşturmuştur. Bu araştırma kapsamında 78’i kadın, 46’si erkek olmak toplam 124 kişiden veri toplanmıştır. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak Psikolojik Danışma Öz Yeterlik Ölçeği ile Beş Faktör Kişilik Özellikleri Ölçeği kullanılmıştır (Pamukçu ve Demir, 2013; Sümer ve Sümer, 2005). Verilerin analizinde çoklu regresyon analizi ve korelasyon kullanılmıştır. Araştırma bulgularına göre, oturumu yönetme becerisindeki toplam varyansın % 24'ü, yardım becerisindeki toplam varyansın % 27'si ve danışmadaki zorluklarla başa çıkmadaki toplam varyansın % 20'si beş faktör kişilik özellikleri değişkenlerince açıklanmaktadır.

The influence of five factors of personality characteristics of School Psychological Advisors on Psychological Advisory Self-Qualifications

Abstract:

The aim of this study is to study the influence of five factors of personality characteristics of school psychological consultant candidates (externity, emotional imbalance, conformity, responsibility and experience openness), psychological consultation self-capacities (session management, assistance, dealing with difficulties in consultation). The research study group formed in the 2018-2019 academic year the 4th-class students of the Department of Guidance and Psychological Consultancy of the Faculty of Education of the University of Giresun. According to the study, the data was collected from a total of 124 men, including 78 women and 46 men. The research used the five-factor personality characteristics scale with the psychological counseling self-capacity scale as a data collection tool (Pamukçu and Iron, 2013; Sumer and Sumer, 2005). Multiple regression analysis and correlation analyses are used. According to the research findings, 24% of the total variance in session management skills, 27% of the total variance in assistance skills and 20% of the total variance in dealing with difficulties in consultation are explained by five-factor personality characteristics variants.

The aim of this study was to examine effects of school counselor candidate's five factor personality traits (extraversion, emotional imbalance, compliance, responsibility and openness to experience) on the psychological counseling self-efficacy (session management, helping skills, cope with counseling challange). In 2018-2019 academic year, the study group of the study consisted of senior students in Guidance and Psychological Counseling Department of Giresun University Faculty of Education. Within the scope of this research, data were collected from 124 people, 78 of whom were female and 46 were male. Psychological Counseling Self-Efficacy Scale and Five-Factor Personality Traits Scale were used to measure the qualifications of the participants. Multiple regression analysis and correlation were used for data analysis. According to the research findings, total variance of 24 % in the session management skills, total variance of 20 % in helping skills and in cope with counseling challange of 27 % are explained by five factor personality characteristics variances.
