Abstract:

The crisis process that we are in due to the Covid-19 epidemic is a very different process than the previous crisis. The Covid-19 crisis not only threatens public health, it also threatens long-term life and well-being of people. It is estimated that millions of full-time jobs around the world will be lost by 2020. But the worse thing about the labour markets is that most of those who have lost their jobs and resource in recent months due to the Covid-19 epidemic are less likely to return to the labour market recently. Due to the importance of the subject, this study was attempted to address the policies based on the international working standards of the International Labour Organization (ILO) in order to reduce the impact of Covid-19 on the labour market. This study, which is discussed in a theoretical framework, used data from international organizations such as the ILO, the World Health Organization (WHO) and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF). According to the research findings conducted under this study, policies based on international working standards are important protection policies for the protection of jobs, employers and employees in the crisis environment caused by the Covid-19 epidemic.
