Man has always used his intellect to understand his surround and the nature in order to be able to survive since from the first day of his creation. This use of intellect has made a significant contribution to man in gaining knowledge and skills in many spheres. Hendese (Geometry) has an important role in today’s human being’s obtaining such skills thanks to his intellect. Therefore, the first source of inspiration of the science of mathematics, and thereby Hendese (Geometry), was undoubtedly the human being and his surrounds which he tried to know and rule over it. The aim of this study is to investigate the evolution of the Hendese (Geometry) lesson, which has had an important place in the history of humanity, in terms of course hours, content and achievements from the 19th century when we began to modernize our education and educational institutions up to today. The study covers the period from the mid-19th century when the first modern schools were introduced in our country, up to today. Hendese (Geometry) lesson of this time period of about 170 years was investigated by being compared by weekly course hours and course contents. The method of document analysis was used in this study. The findings obtained in the research show that the most important feature that distinguishes the books of the past period from the present is that there are more theoretical subjects in the middle and high school level books than today, and that they include subjects such as theorem’s proofs, etc. that are not included in today's middle and high school curriculum. Although problems were included in the books of the past, today's books focus more on problem solving by keeping up with the developing world. While the subjects in the vocational high school curriculum in the past were handled through examples of their applications in the profession, today the geometry curriculum is carried out on basic information about the subjects and there are no examples of the applications of geometry gains in the profession in the books.
