The process of the formation of modern cities has brought together many new conditions, facts and concepts. Artists, researchers have been trying to think about it and explain it from their own points of view. The concept of Flanor has also been formed together with the city and has come to the present day as a matter considered. There are two important names in the concept. Charles Baudelaire and Walter Benjamin have dealt with the flanor type in all directions and gained literature. At this point, Benjamin's Book of Passages is an important source. Here, starting from both Baudelaire's personality and works, he encounters the flanor type with the reader. Flanor, as in other literature, is a type that is found in various works in Turkish literature as well. Especially in the modern Turkish literature products, the reader is more frequently encountered with this type. This is why the research is concerned. This review will focus on Oktay Akbal's novel Man Is a Forest how the flanner type is included. After his struggle with his wife, the narrative hero, who walks along the streets of the city both now and in the past with the crowds, will be transmitted to the reader.
