Oligodonti is a rare developmental abnormality, which is seen in the form of 6 or more teeth agenesis, except the 3rd molar teeth. This case report provides information about the treatment of an oligodontistic patient not associated with the 20 permanent female-affected syndrome. The oligodontili, who affects the big little teeth, cutting teeth, and dog teeth in both chest, was 16 years old to our patient clinic. In the oral examination, the second major minor tooth in the upper wrist was partly embedded, while the second major minor tooth in the lower wrist was in normal positions, and the lower and upper wrist bones were in resorption and thin structure. The treatment procedure is planned as a full protez of the overlay type without making any preparation on the teeth in the upper neck, while in the lower neck it is planned as a conventional moving partly protez. To prevent the irritation of the mucous tissues in weak and thin structure, both protheses have been permanently applied with soft ass material. Lack of teeth causes unusual oculus or changes in the appearance of the face, causing psychological problems especially in some children or adolescent patients. Therefore, early diagnosis and treatment in oligodonties become important to prevent the aesthetic and functional problems caused by the teeth. Keywords: Oligodonti, overlay protezles TREATMENT OF A PATIENT WITH NON-SYNDROMIC OLIGODONTIA: A CASE REPORT ABSTRACT Oligodontia is a rare developmental anomaly, involving agenesis of six or more permanent teeth, excluding the third molars. The aim of this report was to describe the treatment of a patient with non-syndromic oligodontia including 20 permanent teeth. A 16 years old male patient with oligodontia affecting 1. molar teeth, incisor teeth and canine teeth in both jaws and maxillary premolar teeth had applied to our clinic. Intraoral examination of the patient showed that the maxillary second molar teeth were in partially impacted condition, besides that the mandibular second molar teeth were approximately in normal position and the patient's maxillar and mandibular jaw bone was found to be extremely thin and resorbed. Restorative procedures involved the manufacturing of overlay complete denture in maxilla without doing any preparation to the maxillary teeth and conventional removable partial denture in mandible. After producing both dentures with heat-curing acrylic resin, permanent soft lining material was applied to prevent irritation of thin mucosal tissue. The consequences of missing teeth include abnormal occlusion or altered facial appearance which can cause psychological distress for some patients especially in childhood and adolescents. For this reason, early diagnosis and treatment in oligodontia is important to prevent aesthetic and functional problems in the dentition. Keywords: Oligodontia, overlay prostheses
