Araştırmanın amacı, "profesyonel futbolcuların yaş gruplarına (16-20, 21-25 ve 26-37) göre psikolojik becerilerinin-PB (imgeleme-iM, baskı altında doruk performans ortaya koyma-BD, bağlılık gösterme-BG, stresle başa çıkma-SB ve karşılaşma kaygısını yönetme-KK) araştırılmasıdır". Araştırmanın evreni Türkiye Futbol Federasyonunun 7. Bölgesi olan Güney-Anadolu illeridir. Bu bölgedeki 18 profesyonel futbol takımı ve 451 profesyonel futbolcudan toplam 313‘ ne ulaşıldı. Veri toplama aracı olarak, "Futbolda Psikolojik Beceriler Ölçeği-16 (FPBÖ-16) ve anket kullanıldı. FPBÖ-16’nın güvenilirlik katsayıları, iM’de 0.66, BD’de 0.73, BG’de 0.62, SB’de 0.68 ve KK’de ise 0.63’ tür. Tek yönlü varyans analizi, profesyonel futbolcuların yaş gruplarına göre iM, BD ve KK becerilerinde anlamlı bir farklılık ortaya koymazken (P>.05), yaş grupları ile BG ve SB becerileri arasında anlamlı farklılık bulundu (BG-F:3.27 ve P<..04, SB-F:5.33 ve P<.005). Scheffe Testi, yaşları 16-20 arasında olanların, 26-37 arasında olanlara göre, daha iyi BG (P<.006) ve yaşları 21-25 arasında olanların, 16-20 arasında olanlara göre de, daha iyi SB becerisini ortaya koydu (P<.04).
The purpose of this study was to investigate psychological skills (imagery, peaking under pressure, commitment, coping with stress and competitive anxiety) of professional soccer players according to their age groups (16-20, 21-25 and 26-37). Population of this study consisted of 18 professional soccer teams and 451 professional soccer players of "South Anatolia Region" which is categorized 7th. one by the Turkish Soccer Federation. All professional soccer teams and total 313 professional soccer players were used in this study. Soccer Psychological Skills Scale-16 (SPSS-16) with a questionnaire was applied to 311 professional soccer players and related data gathered. Reliability coefficients of the SPSS-16 are 0.66 for the imagery, 0.73 for the performing under pressure, 0.62 for the commitment, 0.68 for the coping with stress and 0.63 for the competitive anxiety. The results of the One-Way ANOVA and Scheffe Test showed meaningful differences between coping with stress, commitment and age groups (coping with stress-F:3.27 and P<..04, commitment-F:5.33 and P<.005). No meaningful differences were found between imagery, peaking under pressure, competitive anxiety and age groups (P>.05).
