Covid-19 Salgını Döneminde Psikolojik Sağlamlığın Yordayıcısı Olarak Yaşam Anlamı ve Kaygı

Abstract:

Bu araştırmanın amacı psikolojik sağlamlığın yordayıcısı olarak yaşam anlamı ve durumluk kaygının incelenmesidir. Bunun yanında; psikolojik sağlamlık, yaşam anlamı ve durumluk kaygının demografik değişkenlere göre incelenmesi de hedeflenmiştir. Araştırmanın örneklemini 598 yetişkin birey oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada veri toplama araçları olarak Connor-Davidson Psikolojik Sağlamlık Ölçeği, Durumluk Kaygı Ölçeği ve Yaşam Anlamı Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Araştırma verileri SPSS 23 paket programı kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Araştırmada; ilişkisiz örneklemler için t-test, ANOVA, korelasyon ve regresyon analizi teknikleri kullanılmıştır. Analiz sonuçlarına göre, katılımcıların durumluk kaygı ve psikolojik sağlamlıklarının cinsiyet ve Covid-19 ile ilgili gelişmeleri takip etme değişkenlerine göre anlamlı düzeyde farklılaştığı gözlenirken; mevcut ve aranan anlamın cinsiyet ve Covid-19 ile ilgili gelişmeleri takip etme değişkenlerine göre anlamlı düzeyde farklılık göstermediği gözlenmiştir. Sağlıklı beslenme, spor yapma, hobilerine zaman ayırma ve teknoloji kullanım sıklığı değişkenlerine göre durumluk kaygı, mevcut anlam ve psikolojik sağlamlığın anlamlı düzeyde farklılaştığı görülürken; aranan anlamın anlamlı düzeyde farklılaşmadığı gözlenmiştir. Yaş, uyku saati ve iş durumu değişkenlerine göre durumluk kaygı, mevcut ve aranan anlam, psikolojik sağlamlık anlamlı düzeyde bir farklılaşma göstermektedir. Psikolojik sağlamlık ile durumluk kaygı arasında negatif yönlü, mevcut anlam arasında pozitif yönlü bir ilişki bulunmuştur. Durumluk kaygı ve mevcut anlam arasında negatif yönde bir ilişki tespit edilmiştir. Psikolojik sağlamlık, durumluk kaygı ve mevcut anlam değişkenleri ile aranan anlam arasında anlamlı bir ilişki gözlenmemiştir. Durumluk kaygı ve mevcut anlam değişkenleri birlikte, psikolojik sağlamlık ile anlamlı bir ilişki sergiledikleri görülmektedir. Söz konusu iki değişken psikolojik sağlamlık puanlarındaki değişimin %34’ünü açıklamaktadır. Çalışmanın 17.07.2020 tarihinde Gaziantep Üniversitesi Sosyal ve Beşeri Bilimler Etik Kurulu Komisyonundan alınan 73628654/604.01.01/33631 sayılı etik kurul izni bulunmaktadır.

Abstract:

The objective of this research is to study the meaning of life and condition concern as a contributor to psychological stability. In addition, it is also aimed at studying psychological stability, meaning of life and condition concern according to demographic variables. The study was conducted by 598 adults. The study used the Connor-Davidson psychological well-being scale, the conditional anxiety scale and the life meaning scale as data collection tools. The research data was analyzed using the SPSS 23 package program. In the research; t-test, ANOVA, correlation and regression analysis techniques have been used for non-related samples. According to the results of the analysis, the participants’ state anxiety and psychological stability were observed significantly differentiated according to the variables of tracking the developments related to gender and Covid-19; the current and sought meaning was not observed significantly differentiated according to the variables of tracking the developments related to gender and Covid-19. Healthy nutrition, sports, time for hobbies, and technology use frequency variables according to state anxiety, existing meaning and psychological strength appear to vary significantly; the meaning sought not vary significantly. Depending on the age, sleep time and work condition variables, state anxiety, existing and sought meaning, psychological stability shows a significant level of differentiation. There has been a positive relationship between psychological stability and state anxiety between a negative, current meaning. A relationship in a negative direction between the situation anxiety and the present meaning has been detected. There has been no meaningful relationship between psychological stability, state anxiety and existing meaning variables and the sought meaning. Situational anxiety and existing meaning variables together appear to show a meaningful relationship with psychological stability. These two variables describe the change of 34% in the psychological stability scores. The study has the ethical board license number 73628654/604.01.01/33631 obtained from the Commission of Social and Human Sciences of the University of Gaziantep on 17.07.2011.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the meaning of life and state anxiety as predictors of psychological resilience. Furthermore psychological resilience, meaning of life and state anxiety were also examined according to demographic variables. The sample of the study consists of 598 adult individuals. In the research, Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale, State Anxiety Scale, and Meaning in Life Scale were used as data collection tools. The research data were analyzed using SPSS 23.0 package program. In the study; independent sample t-test, ANOVA, correlation and regression analysis techniques were used. According to the results of the analysis, it was observed that the state anxiety and psychological resilience of the participants differed significantly according to the variables of gender and following the developments regarding Covid-19; it was observed that the present and searched meaning did not differ significantly according to variables of gender and following the developments regarding Covid-19. While it is seen that state anxiety, present meaning and psychological resilience differ significantly according to the variables of healthy eating, sports, time for hobbies and frequency of use of technology; it was observed that the searched meaning did not differ significantly. State anxiety, present and searched meaning, psychological resilience show a significant difference according to age, sleep time and work status variables. According to another result of the analysis, a negative relationship was found between psychological resilience and state anxiety; a positive relationship was found between psychological resilience and present meaning. A negative relationship was found between state anxiety and present meaning. No significant relationship was observed between psychological resilience, state anxiety, present meaning variables and searched meaning. State anxiety and present meaning variables appear to have a significant relationship with psychological resilience. These two variables explain 34% of the change in psychological resilience scores. The study has an ethics committee approval numbered 73628654 / 604.01.01 / 33631 taken from Gaziantep University Social and Human Sciences Ethics Committee on 17.07.2020.
