Abstract:

From the early stories to the present, the creation of the impression of reality in the works continues to increase. Nazan Bekiroğlu in Mücella takes on a mission of registering a city of Trabzon, its own cultural material as a museum that lives from generation to generation. In the work, the details of things and life from the female window, the novel gives a kind of "museum novel" atmosphere. In the framework of the quality research, the method of visual data analysis used in this study; the daily practices and the details of the non-specific cultural heritage that reflect the women's culture in Trabzon will be identified as reflected in the novel of Mücella and is tired of the preferred reasons for these details. The value of the item is except for the value of use. The detail to be noticed in Mücella is the priority of the rituals along with the item. Fetishism is an individual preference while in Mücella this cultural practice, habit, is reflected as a desire to live what has come from the past. The work of the museum must be considered here. The narration of the rituals in a life practice, the understanding of the ritually objective relationship around the character; the process of change of the objects in the rhythm of life, the narration of use and change is associated with the collection, accumulation, understanding and exhibition functions of the museum. The irony of the novel is the use of the magnificent quarter that Mücella has prepared for the body by those who never have such an attention/sensitivity; it is the use of it without knowing what it uses. This can also be seen as a metaphoric representation in the name of the city culture; the quartered square is the women’s culture of Trabzon.
