Abstract:

Although values differ from society to society, they are values that have lasted for centuries for all nations and constitute the basic building blocks of societies. Due to the increasing violence and violations of the law in schools in recent years, it is seen that many countries are trying to improve moral education in teaching programs in terms of quality and quantity. In Turkey, moral education in schools is given importance like in other countries, although not systematically. In short, academic moral education continues to increase its popularity in our country and around the world. It is also important to use literary products and develop materials for the development of moral education. Among these literary products, the humorous anecdotes are a powerful motivator that stimulates students' attention and allows them to gather in a focus. In addition, the humorous anecdotes help students get a better understanding of the subject, increase retention in learning and attract interest to the course. Teachers apply very different materials, teaching methods and techniques to gain values in students. One of the important elements of this study is that these applications can contribute to student achievements by supporting them with humorous anecdotes. Today, there are few studies aimed at bringing values with humorous anecdotes. In this study, which is examined by document analysis from qualitative approaches, sample documents that can be used in value education are presented.
