Var oluşundan bu yana insan için güvenlik en önemli ihtiyaçlardan biri olmuştur. Günümüzde meydana gelen hızlı gelişmeler neticesinde birey güvenliğinden toplumsal güvenliğe, her alanda klasik güvenlik tanımlarının yetersiz kalarak anlamını kaybettiği görülmektedir. Güvenlik kavramı boyut değiştirmektedir. Bunun sonucunda önceden tahmin edilemeyen güvenlikle ilgili konular bir anda toplumsal şiddete dönüşebilmektedir. Bir insan ve kültür bilimi olan antropoloji biliminin insanın en önemli ihtiyacının altında yatan temel nedenleri incelemesi kadar doğal bir şey olamaz. Kültür bir birikimdir ve güvenlik alanında yaratılan bu bilim giderek gelişmektedir. Diğer yandan sadece alınan önlemlerle güvenliğin sağlanamayacağı da bir gerçektir. Burada önemli bir konu ise güvenliğin sağlanmış olduğu yolundaki yaygın inançtır. Bu inancın oluşturulması çoğu zaman alınan önlemler için yapılan çabalardan çok daha fazlasını gerektirir. Bu noktada algı denilen, bireyin bulunduğu çevrede var olan uyarıları algılayarak bunları sınıflandırması konusu önem kazanır. Algı aynı zamanda duygusal deneyimlerden, tutum, amaç ve toplumsal normlardan etkilenir. Bu çalışmada insanın en temel gereksinimlerinden birisi olan güvenlik konusu, yine bir insan ve kültür bilimi olan antropoloji açısından değerlendirilerek, konuya farklı bir bakış açısı getirilmeye çalışılacaktır.
Since its existence, safety has been one of the most important needs for man. As a result of today’s rapid developments, it seems that from individual security to social security, the classical security definitions in every area are missing meaning. The concept of safety changes size. As a result, unpredictable security issues can instantly turn into social violence. An anthropology, a human and cultural science, cannot be as natural as the study of the fundamental causes under the most important human need. Culture is an accumulation of knowledge and this science created in the field of security is increasingly developing. It is also a fact that only the measures taken cannot ensure security. One important thing here is the widespread belief in the way that security is provided. The creation of this belief often requires much more than the efforts made for the measures taken. At this point, it is important to classify them by detecting the warnings that exist in the environment where the individual is. The perception is also influenced by emotional experiences, attitudes, purposes and social norms. In this study, the issue of safety, which is one of the most fundamental needs of man, will be evaluated again from an anthropology, a human and cultural science, and will try to bring a different perspective on the subject.

On the other hand, it is a fact that security cannot be ensured with the measures taken. The creation of this belief often requires far more than the efforts made for the measures taken. At this point, the perception of the individual is extremely important. Perception is the ability to see, hear, or become aware of something through the senses. Perception is also influenced by emotional experiences, attitudes, goals and social norms. In this study, it will be tried to bring a different perspective to the subject by evaluating the subject of security, which is one of the most basic requirements of human being, in terms of anthropology which is a human and cultural science.
