Abstract:

In this study is aimed to define the relationship between preschool teachers’ attitudes towards their profession and life satisfaction. Target population of the study has been composed of 200 preschool teachers working in different cities all over Turkey. In the process of collecting data “The Satisfaction with Life Scale (SWLS)”, and “Professional Attitude Scale for Teachers” have been used. SPSS 16 program has been used to analyse the data, and the data has evaluated as results of t-Test, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) and Pearson Coefficient Correlation. Following the searches it has been concluded that there is a meaningful relationship between preschool teachers’ life satisfaction and democratic/disregarding professional attitudes; and that the more life satisfaction level of preschool teachers increases, the more their democratic attitudes improve and their disregarding attitudes decrease. It has been determinedd that there is a significant difference between teachers’ age/alma mater and their professional attitudes.
