Abstract:

This study aims to identify the perceptions of the scientists candidates to root cell, which is one of the biotechnology subjects. In the study, the scan scheme was used from the quantum research method. The study group consists of 194 teachers candidates studying in the Department of Science and Information Education of the State University of the Anatolian Region. As a data collection tool, the "Root Cell Perception Measurement" was used. The Cronbach Alfa value of the scale prepared in the five-liquid type is calculated as .864 . The data has been analyzed using various imaging and extractive analyses in the SPSS 21.0 program. The study found no significant differences in root cell perceptions according to the gender of the teacher candidates. However, a significant level of differences have been determined in relation to the candidates’ root cell perceptions according to the class level. In addition, it has been determined that the perceptions of teachers candidates about the subject of the root cell are above the average. At the end of the study, it was suggested that teachers candidates could be able to conduct a curricular teaching process on the subject, in addition to that researchers could do similar studies with different data collection tools.
