European Community law consists of the rules of international law which govern treaties and international organizations, of the founding Treaties and Treaties to which the Communities are parties and the Annexes and Protocols attached to both kinds of treaties, of the rules generated by the Community institutions (including judgments of the European Court of Justice) and those portions of the muncipallaws of the Member states which they are bound to enact in the execution of their obligations. Its scope is circumscribed by the Treaties founding the Communities.
