Çok uluslu şirketler, uluslararası üretim, ticaret ve finansal akımların serbestleşmesi sürecinin temel aktörleridir. Çok uluslu şirketler bazı ülkelerin gayri safi yurtiçi hasılalarından fazla yıllık ticaret hacmi, hükümetleri, uluslararası kuruluşları etkileyebilme kapasiteleri olan devasa yapılardır. Küresel ölçekteki riskleri bertaraf etmek ve fırsatları yakalayabilmek konusunda yüksek kabiliyetler sergilemektedirler. Ancak çok uluslu şirketlerin çıkarlarının yerel, bölgesel ve küresel değerlerle çatışması söz konusu olabilmektedir. Öte yandan çok uluslu şirketlerin, milyarlarla ifade edilen dünya nüfusuna karşılık hissedar veya diğer çıkar gruplarından oluşan küçük bir azınlık tarafından yönetiliyor olması, söz konusu örgütlerin küresel riskleri bertaraf etme ve fırsatları yakalama konusundaki yetkinliklerinin sorgulanmasına neden olmaktadır.
Multinational companies are key players in the process of liberalization of international production, trade and financial flows. Multinational companies are enormous structures that have the capacity to influence governments, international organizations, over the annual trade volume of some countries’ non-clean domestic profits. They show high skills in eliminating risks on a global scale and taking the opportunities. However, the interests of multinational companies may conflict with local, regional and global values. On the other hand, the fact that multinational companies are managed by a small minority of shareholders or other interest groups, compared to the world’s billions of people, causes those organizations to question their ability to eliminate global risks and capture opportunities.
Multinational companies are the main actors of the liberalization process of international production, trade and financial flows. Multinational companies are enormous structures that have annual trade volume more than the gross domestic product of some countries and have the capacity to influence governments and international organizations. They exhibit high abilities in eliminating risks on a global scale and seizing opportunities. However, the interests of multinational companies may conflict with local, regional and global values. On the other hand, the fact that multinational companies are managed by a small minority of shareholders or other interest groups against the world population of billions causes the competencies of these organizations to eliminate global risks and seize opportunities.
