Abstract In this simple exercise, it is intended to raise some overall ideas around some sociodemographic elements from History in the great context of the construction of the State in South America, particularly during the 19th century. Only some data and comments that channel or invoke other lines that are revealed in terms of history related to demography are presented. This essay as a bibliographical review is a slight approximation with notes, whose purpose is to guide or motivate some reflections that are the subject of deeper and better documented studies. Historical interpretations of demographic mobilities are the subject of study for specialists in Historical Demography. Consequently, the ideal historical demographer does not exist, but with some skills he hopes to contribute usefully to the field of historical demography. Hence, all historical arguments have something of imprecision or falsehood, because no one can be totally sure or unsure of anything. The degrees of certainty are variable.
