Madencilik iş kazaları ve meslek hastalıklarına sebep olan tehlike ve risk faktörleriyle çok sık karşılaşılan sektörlerin başında gelmektedir. İş sağlığı ve güvenliğinin temel amaçlarından birisi çalışma ortamında çalışanların sağlığını olumsuz etkileyebilecek risk etmenlerinden çalışanları korumak ve meslek hastalıklarını önlemektir. Bu çalışmada, meslek hastalıklarına neden olan etkenler ile madencilik sektöründe görülen meslek hastalıklarına sebep olabilecek tehlike ve risk faktörleri incelenmiştir. Ülkemizde 2010-2018 yılları arasında madencilikte ve diğer sektörlerde faaliyet gösteren işletme, çalışan ve meslek hastalıkları sayılarındaki değişim analiz edilmiştir. Sosyal Güvenlik Kurumu’na bildirilen meslek hastası ile çalışan sayılarına göre beklenen meslek hastası sayıları arasında büyük fark olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca bu hastalıklar ile mücadele konusunda korunma politikaları önerilmiştir.
Mining is the top of the sectors that are very frequently encountered with risk and risk factors that cause occupational accidents and occupational diseases. One of the main objectives of occupational health and safety is to protect employees from risks that may adversely affect the health of employees in the work environment and prevent occupational diseases. This study has studied the factors that cause occupational diseases and the risk factors that may cause occupational diseases in the mining sector. We have analyzed the changes in the number of business, employees and professional diseases that operate in mining and other sectors between 2010 and 2018. Mining is one of the main sectors in which danger and risk factors causing occupational accidents and diseases are frequently encountered. One of the main goals of occupational health and safety is to keep employees from the risk factors that may adversely affect the health of employees in the working environment and to obstruct occupational diseases. In this work, the factors that may cause occupational diseases in the mining industry were examined. The changes in the number of mining companies, employees with in the number of occupational diseases emerged in mining and other sectors between 2010 and 2018 in Turkey were analyzed. It was determined that there was a huge difference between the number of those who caught an occupational disease reported to the Social Security Institution and the number of occupational patients expected according to the number of employees. In addition, protection policies were proposed to fight against these diseases.
