Bu makalede, Aristoteles’in en iyi yorumcusu olarak görülen ve bu nedenle de felsefe tarihinde “yorumcu” unvanını alan İbn Rüşd’ün felsefesi ile düşünce alanlarındaki temel noktalar (bilgi anlayışı, varlık görüşü, siyaset felsefesi), onun yorumcu olma özelliği göz önünde tutularak ele alınıp kısaca açıklanmaya çalışılacaktır. Bunu yaparken Aristoteles’in İbn Rüşd üzerindeki etkisine, onun Aristoteles’ten ayrıştığı noktalara ve bunların nedenlerine değinilmekle kalmayıp Platon’un sahneye hangi aşamada girdiğini açıklamak da amaçlanmaktadır. Kısacası bu makaledeki temel amaç, İbn Rüşd’ün yorumcu sıfatına vurgu yapılarak onun farklı disiplinlerdeki düşünce ve görüşlerinin oluşumuna kısaca değinilmesi ve böylelikle bu farklı alanlara dair anlayışının genel bir resminin sunulmasında bir giriş yazısı ortaya koymaktır.
In this article, the philosophy of Averroes, who is regarded as the best commentator of Aristotle, and for this reason he has received the title of "commentator" in the history of philosophy, and the main points in his fields of thought (his conception of epistemology, ontology, political philosophy) will be discussed and explained, taking into account his characteristic of being a commentator. In doing so, not only will Aristotle's influence on Averroes, the points where he differed from Aristotle and the reasons for these differences be addressed, but it will also be aimed to explain at what stage Plato entered the scene. In conclusion, the main purpose of this article is to provide an introduction to the formation of Averroes’ thoughts and views in different disciplines by emphasizing his status as a commentator, and thus to present a general picture of his understanding of these different fields.
