Abstract:

The aim of the research is to determine the views of the pre-service teachers on the change of the entrepreneurship content knowledge and Technopark perceptions with the Technopark visit and to describe their experiences. The study was carried out with the phenomenology method. 29 pre-service teachers enrolled in the Economy and Entrepreneurship course at the different undergraduate programs and grade levels of Education Faculty participated in the research. Within the scope of the visit, activities were carried out such as “presentation and observation of Technopark, observation of entrepreneurial companies activities, use of design products of companies, experience sharing of entrepreneurs, identification of problems in different sectors from daily life, presenting and evaluating business idea suggestions” etc. Qualitative data obtained with semi-structured interview forms, a checklist and word association test were analyzed by the continuous comparative method. The validity-reliability of the data analysis was ensured by expert-opinions and direct quotation examples. It was concluded that the Technopark visit contributed to the development of pre-service teachers' entrepreneurship content knowledge and Technopark perceptions. Considering the social value and pedagogical contribution, visits can be made to firms where educational and social entrepreneurship is active, and more applications can be carried out in the field.
